Arrest for Sexual Activity Involving Animals

Release posted on 05-28-25 at 5:27 PM

Detectives received a cyber tip that a 21-year-old St. Petersburg man used his digital bank account to purchase videos depicting people engaged in sexual activities with animals.

A search warrant was conducted, and Cristian Sengaroun was found to have 10 videos on his personal cell phone. Detectives charged Sengaroun with 10 counts of Sexual Activity Involving Animals. His booking photo is below.

Sengaroun was hired two weeks ago as a seasonal part-time employee at the City of St. Petersburg Walter Fuller Recreation Center. At the time of his hiring, he passed the required Level 2 background screening required for childcare workers in Florida, as outlined in Chapter 435 of the Florida Statutes. His employment was immediately terminated upon his arrest.

At this time, there is no indication that any participants at the center were involved or affected.
